Former NASA chief scientist wants to change Mars' climate to adapt to humans

USA: Former Chief Scientist of the Aerospace Agency (NASA) Jim Green proposed geoengineering techniques that should be practiced on Mars to make the planet inhabited by humans.

According to the Daily Mail Green, now retired, he said the planet could be covered by a "giant magnetic shield" that would protect it from high-energy solar particles.

According to Green, the shield will prevent the sun from escaping the atmosphere of Mars,

giving the planet a climate suitable for humans.

"Yes, it is possible, you must stop the release and the pressure will rise. The planet Mars will then begin to undergo its own transformation." "High temperature and pressure can begin the process of planting plants in the area," he told the New York Times.

Green served as NASA's chief scientist for 40 years and retired on Saturday.

Green discussed Mars' plan in an interview with the New York Times as he left NASA.

Green said he has been working on the plan since 2017, when he began revealing it to the public. Earlier, in an interview at NASA's Planetary Science Vision 2050 Workshop in Washington, DC, Green presented simulations, models, and preliminary ideas for transforming the magnetic field on Mars.
